I'm an adult, can I take lessons with you?
Yes! Michela has worked with many adult students over the last two decades. She understands that adults have their own goals and motivation for learning the piano. Michela teaches a range of styles to suit your preferences (classical to modern, including chords).
Some adult students are those returning to the piano after a long break. Skills need to be revised and re-learned. Michela is experienced in supporting students who may feel they have "forgotten everything" and can assist them to progress in their learning. Other adult students have never learned the piano before and want to develop their musical ability. Michela enjoys helping new students to discover a joy of playing, reading music, and learning something new. You’re never too old to learn to play the piano! Adult students find learning to play piano very rewarding, however fitting it in with their busy schedules can be challenging. Michela can work with you to find a lesson time that suits you, with many adult students opting for longer lessons held fortnightly. Contact Michela to discuss your needs. |

"I really love learning to play the piano with Michela. I learned many moons ago as a kid, and she has been fantastic in helping me find my way back. Finding time to practice can be challenging, but I am making steady progress under Michela's teaching."
--Phil, adult student
"As an adult learner essentially coming to piano for the first time, I am delighted with my progress and how Michela has guided me. Her teaching has been methodical and logical but also tailored to my taste and musical interests. Michela is a wonderful teacher. She is patient, kind and understanding. She is knowledgeable and passionate about music and really cares about her students. Michela is progressive and adaptable and works to improve her resources and teaching. When required, she really stepped up to embrace remote learning in a positive and engaging way. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher."
-- Jane, adult student
"Both of my children starting learning piano with Michela from a young age and my son has now gone on to the Conservatorium to pursue music further. This decision had a lot to do with the solid theoretical grounding and teaching techniques Michela employed with him over many years. She is a welcoming, kind, patient and thoughtful person who is able to read each individual student to get the best from them. Her years of experience have enabled her to have a variety of teaching techniques and tips at her fingertips to pass on to her students. I learnt piano myself many a moon ago and in recent years I have restarted lessons and Michela was the perfect choice for me. I look forward to my lessons!"
